“Unless you have a desire to draw with a purified mind, you cannot achieve great success. Even a strong desire, if it comes from an egoistic mindset, may lead to temporary success, but that success will not last long. “

“Insensible motive-based on egoistic minds create friction with society. The stronger those minds are, the severe failure their activities end up. To be successful, your desires and passions must be pure and sincere. In other words, the quality of the desire to permeate your  subconscious is quite important. By having a purified desire and hard-working, your desires can always be fulfilled.”

“After the burst of the bubble economy, various frauds were revealed and many people were charged with guilt. At the peak of the bubble economy, those who had developed buildings one after another in Ginza and Osaka and showed off their prosperity by spending hundreds of thousands of dollars per night, have disappeared in just 10 years. Even with such an example, we business leaders should not satisfy only our own desires. We have to think about the fulfillment of all our employees. If the company’s performance gets worse, it will damage our employees who are working hard for the future of the company. Business owners should be those who are working hard to avoid such disasters. I personally feel that the desire of such business leaders to “enhance their companies’ performance” must be rewarded in a long span simply because it is drawn with a beautiful heart.”

Inamori* reiterated several times “purified mind”. We may have to think about what it means and how we can purify our minds.

I personally feel that the “purified mind” is the desire or intention that completes the mission given to each one of us in this world.

Each one of us, as well as each creature and existence has been given a mission: to contribute to the improvement of our world.

When we get noticed to our given mission and work hard to complete such missions, our minds have been purified. In other words, there are no discrepancies in our mindset.

Discrepancies are as follows.

Followed by our egoistic desires, we tend to suffer from our self-denial.

While we want others to show us respect, we tend to hold negative feelings towards others such as envy, avarice, fear, anger, and anxieties.

All of us have such discrepancies in our minds.

Thus, I would like to propose the following steps to realise our minds and purify them.

The process is as follows:

1 Fulfill us mentally

2 Rediscover what we already have

3 Be sensitive what we really want

4 Receive love from others

Let me explain one by one.

1 Fulfill us mentally

This is, first of all, each of us admit that “I can be here in this world.”

It means admitting our existence. Every human being wants others to value our existence. We have such a desire for self-revealing.

This desire for self-revealing becomes the “greed” that Mr. Inamori says, and leads us to egoistic actions.

But when we are filled with materials, in other words, when we get satisfied with materials and money, we cannot feel true fulfillment.

Why?

That’s because materials don’t really fulfill our minds and emotions.

What does the fulfillment mean?

It means that each one of us acknowledges our existence.

At the same time, we should get noticed that we have negative thoughts in our minds.

It is very important that you notice your mind and understand what is in our mind.

I notice in my mind

Means, all the thoughts get under our subconscious,

Which leads to admitting yourself.

With this, you don’t have to ask others to show your respect.

Negative emotions in you will be diminished little by little.

You can be convinced that you are the one to exist, regardless of your strengths and weaknesses.

By doing this, you will be able to recognize and forgive all the strengths and weaknesses that you have.

You don’t have to deny yourself.

You don’t have to ask others to value you.

This is the first step to purify your mind.

2 Rediscover what we already have

“Intention to take from others-rob-”

All of us may have this mindset.

I have no power.

I have no hope for myself.

I have no financial power.

I have no educational background.

I have no experience.

We tend to focus on things we don’t have in this way.

If you think you are missing, you’re desperate to take them away from others.

You may get someone with power on your side.

You try to get respect from people with money or power.

You may interfere with someone to achieve his goal due to enviousness.

You get greedy for money.

You may hire an elite employee

You screen people in your network for their title and educational background.

When we decide to take something from others, our minds become nontransparent.

Then what should I do?

We never focus on something that we are missing.

Look at what we already have.

The staff who have been with me so far,

Friends who are kind and have given me advice

Customers who purchased our goods and services

Skills and experiences acquired in my life so far

They are us, who ignore the actual value that we have acquired so far.

You must first put the value on what you already have.

By doing this, we can simply have good insights on our works and be sensitive to the trends in the world. Your mind can be purified through this process.

3 Be sensitive what we really want

We, the people in their 40s and 60s, grew up in the Showa era, the high-growth period in Japan.

The environment in which we were born and raised as well as that era have forced us to do so.

We were asked to act and live according to the “manual” prevailing in the society. The so-called ideal behaviors have been put higher importance than what we really want to do.

We have worked for companies and committed ourselves to be good business persons who are admired and respected under Japanese society.

This trend has shown a sort of negative result in our lives now.

Namely, we can’t really hear the voice of our hearts and minds.

For example, in Japanese society, people often tend to lie in their works.

They may think the following.

“I really don’t want to do that but it’s my job, I have to do that. I don’t like lying but I have to tell lies. “

We are actually forced to lie a lot in our daily lives.

Then, even if you think it’s not really good, you have to lie, and start justifying your position.

As a result, you naturally become insensitive in finding what you really feel/ want. Now you have got used to telling lies so easily, it’s a bit hard for you to realize what you really think and feel.

I am self-employed and have managed the work of my company.

I think I am lucky as I don’t have to lie.

If my clients or counterparts ask me to lie at work, I can decline that option.

I can choose a job where I don’t have to tell lies.

In fact, such attitudes have worked for us to maintain good business results.

My decline doesn’t harm either my clients or the reputation of our company.

I have never had any sort of difficulties in finance.

Rather, being honest without lying, I think this has led to the success of my work.

Being sensitive to our thoughts and minds and capturing what we really want to do has been so important for us to be prosperous.

I think this is also a way to keep our minds clean and pure.

4 Receive love from others

From my teens to thirties, I didn’t like to rely on others.

I felt uncomfortable when I saw people who depended on others.

I was irritated to see my colleagues who relied on others. I thought that I worked so hard and managed to solve issues by myself, but how come you can rely on others?

Now I realized that I had just simply been silly, biassed and blind.

The world is full of love for each of us.

However, unless we are ready to find out those loves, we remain non-purified.

Our minds remained cloudy and nontransparent.

My mindset had been so inflexible, thus I was not able to figure out this love.

When your mindset becomes flexible, you can give permission to yourself to receive the help and compassion from the people surrounding you.

So you will be filled with gratitude.

For my case, after getting fulfilled with gratitude towards others, I would like to do my best to do what I can and give back to those who have supported me.

Even if it is not a big thing to me, just sending information benefits some people.

For example, basic information about real estate is not easy to follow for ordinary people.

I think it’s worth doing to communicate such information in the simplest manner and help others to make queries to professionals. Then, I am happy with what I can do for others.

Generally speaking, humans must keep studying for their entire lives.

Learning (Input) is very important.

But the output is more important.

You can output as I have been.

I am sure that these outputs will please others.

We can create the circulation of such gratitude.

This is the final steps to purify our mindset.

Now, in summary, the following actions are effective in cleaning our minds.

First, analyze and understand our emotional structure built up inside us.

Listen to the voice of your heart and mind.

Being aware of the love given to you,

If you keep doing this steadily, I think your mindset will be purified.

When this purification occurs, synchronicity follows.

If I want a human resource, I happened to find a person with skills that I am looking for.

If you want some information, you eventually and easily find it.

When I suddenly sent a message to my friend, that friend was exactly thinking of contacting you. This is, what we call, the synchronicity.

I think synchronicity is an important condition to bring dynamism to our lives. Purifying our mindset is very important for evoking such synchronicity.
