Japan has been suffering from the lack of workforce, its for sure. To fulfill such deficit, non-Japanese students have come to Japan. They are coming here as students. Majority study Japanese however, some are simply aiming at working here. There are many cases where non-Japanese students have done illegal part time jobs.

I used to speak with Japanese from school and education industry for non-Japanese, and said “How come those students abandon opportunities which allow them to be wealthier over long term, and took occasions to work as cheaper wage. They study Japanese and got white color job, they would be able to earn good salary, no need to work at lower than minimum wage…”

Japanese language school teacher said, “I tried to persuade them many times but they never had such long term views…”

On the other hand, my Brazilian husband quickly answered this question “Primeiro barriga tem que ser cheia!, First, their stomach should be full. ”

I was very sad when I heard his words. Even though they had a lot of opportunity to be rich and fulfilled, they are willing to throw them away as they are simply so blind to what they got given to. They never want to look at great things and conditions available to them. It’s pity but this phenomenon has been seen in many situation in resort development.

I will spend more time on the paradox of resort development, the scheme in which those who dedicate more eventually get less.
