The tips to pass the entrepreneurial leadership to the management team are as follows.
1 Believe yourself as the president of the trading house dealing with your product
2 Thorough and detailed simulation of sales promotion
3 Establish the trust to your product
4 Be challenging and proactive

1 Believe yourself as the president of the trading house dealing with your product
Assume that you are the president of the trading house who is about to deal with ceramic products. You should study the product as if you were the head of the R & D team, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of it as well as the market, then project the feasibility of the sales promotion.
Especially the person who you deal with, you should judge whether he is trustworthy or not, by bringing all of your senses. Otherwise, you would not be able to succeed in selling that product.
→This looks similar to Aikido. In Aikido we should feel the intention of our counterpart and move his/ her body towards his/her weak points. When we get concentrated on the actions of our counterparts, this would be easier.
2 Thorough and detailed simulation of sales promotion
Guys, you should simulate your promotional plan as if it looks “visible” in your mind. In other words, with very clear images, we should envisage how to promote, how much we can sell, who our customers are, where they are, how much we can charge at maximum, and how about the sales volumes. This may take some time.
But Inamori pushed his management team to get a clear image on the actual sales promotion plan.
3 Establish the trust to your product
You guys do not understand how wonderful products we are dealing with. In other words, you are not trusting the position of your products. Unless you change your mindset towards the products, you would never ever promote them. Get most familiar with your products, so that you would spontaneously be able to see how to promote. You would see how the potential clients order and use them.
4 Be challenging and proactive
In Kyocera, their corporate culture encourages challenges for management. The least respected are those who never challenged nor got scolded by Inamori. Inamori encourages a proactive attitude very much. Inamori said, “as long as management proactively sees the market, and takes necessary actions, we would be able to find the way out. We should be able to sell our products. “
→This reminded me of how to analyze our counterparts. Every entity, individual in the universe has its strengths and weaknesses. With the knowledge and analysis of them, we would indeed be able to create a good deal stream.
