Some people say that we are eventually born into this world. Others said that we had already been allocated our roles and functions in this world before our birth. However, Inamori said that each of us has its own mission in this world. So we must complete that mission seriously and sincerely.

Under the conscious mind, we all know that we have to be devoted to our staff and employees.
But unconsciously, we Japanese have a different mindset. For instance, a company leader may think as follows; hey, that’s enough. I have worked hard since my childhood; it was just because my parents desired me to live in line with their ideal career path. I studied hard, graduated from good universities, entered into a so-called blue-chip company, and I ‘ve got a brilliant career with a good salary. However, now I gave up that career and entered into my fathers’ company as the top leader. I have been forced to dedicate all of my energies to others. This is not the life I was supposed to walk with. I don’t want to repeat those harsh days of effort. I feel something is wrong with my life…
This is the discrepancy between subconscious and conscious minds.
To integrate both minds under the will of the universe, Inamori said the following approaches.

1 Carpe Diem
Carefully and diligently work on the daily assignment.

2 Be aware of “Will of the universe”

You can feel the will of nature, or the will of the universe, in your activities. ”
3 Keep challenging approach

So to sum up, most business leaders in Japan have difficulties in matching both conscious and unconscious minds. For both minds to be integrated, 1) Carpe Diem, 2) Be aware of rules of the universe, 3) Keep challenges, 4) Exposure to Goodwill.
With those approaches, the social group, so called elite Japanese who are in their forties or fifties, can create the integration of their minds: subliminal and conscious.
