In Kyocera philosophy, Inamori said, “We should always be cheerful, optimistic, and positive.” He explained Kyocera philosophy.

“No matter what the adversity, no matter how painful an event comes to us, we have always been cheerful, optimistic, and positive while striving ourselves. This attitude allowed Kyocera to achieve our goals. I feel the life is wonderful and full of hope. It is important to always think that “My life should be wonderful.” Never complain, get depressed, nor be filled with a bad mood. Leave your envy, hate, or hostility against others, as those emotions ultimately make your life miserable.

 

It’s very simple but having hope for your future and acting cheerfully and positively is the first step to making your life wonderful.

 

Curiously, those who enjoy their wonderful lives are always cheerful and optimistic. You would never get a wonderful life unless you are filled with pessimistic and depressed views.  You must always believe that your future and your life will surely be blessed with great luck (of course you must work hard).

The point is , believe it or not, you must believe that your life is wonderful. Even though people surrounding you treat you harshly, you must find him to be a good person, remain cheerful, optimistic, positive, and open.”

 

Inamori said above, however, it is not so easy to conduct what Inamori suggested: be always cheerful, optimistic and positive.

 

I personally feel that the tips by which we can stay cheerful person are as follows;

1 Interpret events positively

2 Recognize negative personality in us

3 Keep always smiling

 

Let me elaborate a bit more on those three tips.

 

1 Interpret events positively

 

Inamori said as follows,

“Someone tells you vicious views, or the words said to you seem to be full of hostility, you should still think that there must be some reason that you should have such a harsh experience. Or you may have to think like that -oh, he is just poor guy as he keeps telling bad mouth to others….-”

Thus, this is not easy, but we should practice that you should take events to come to us quite positively. This is the key to always being positive.

 

2 Recognize negative personality in us

Inamori also demonstrates his episode. In his addresses, he was always fighting with his classmates. Remembering those days, he said, “In my mind there was another personality who was blaming me for fighting with others. I had always been arguing with me and told me -hey not it’s time to stop fighting, why don’t you change your attitudes and mindset. – ”

 

Psychologically, we tend to ignore those personalities which remain in our subliminal mind. Thus, when we find another mental condition and pay our attention to them, we can start integrating our different personalities in us.

 

3 Keep always smiling

Smiling works for us to keep us in good shape. Smiling encourages our body to release good hormones. Recently, I just started learning how to smile from a professional instructor. I found out how difficult it is to bring up both corners of our mouths. I also find out my husband is good at smiling by bringing up both corners of his mouth. He said, since he was a boy, he has always been happy, cheerful, and optimistic. Thus, he always keeps both corners of his mouth up.

 

Probably, we should name those corners “Lucky corners” and always keep corners up. By doing this, we would be able to keep smiling and cheerful, and quite optimistic.

 

 

 

 

 

So to sum up, in order for us to always be cheerful and optimistic, we should bring positive interpretation, find our negative sides, and practice smiling.
